We started shipping BLK360s to customers a few months ago and the results we are seeing are incredible. Take a look below to see some of the initial scans and to hear the feedback from the field.

Maxwell Construction

The point cloud was overlaid on a .tif image of a plumbing plan in CAD. I located 3 plumbing errors and was able to modify before slab was poured for a $1,500 savings.

Data transfer into Cyclone is simple.

Switch on the BLK360 by pressing the only button. Wait until the status indicator is solid green, meaning the BLK360 is ready to connect via wireless network to your PC. The BLK360 acts as a wireless access point. (Note: if you are working on a deskctop, make sure you actually have a WiFi connection)

With 64gb of on-board memory, the BLK360 can store ~100 scans @medium resolution, so you can operate the scanner without using an iPad Pro™ as a controller simply by using the button on the device.

Here's how it works:

Press the button once to turn it on. When the LED ring is steady green, press the button again to start a scan.

Push the button on your BLK360 scanner to turn the device on. From there, the simple user interface of ReCap® Pro for mobile guides you through the reality capture process.

The BLK360 is connected to ReCap® Pro for mobile via a private wifi connection. To start a scan, simply tap “New Scan” then customize your scan settings.
