DISTOs sold in North America are configured and packaged for the North American market.
The same model may have a different name, part number, or configuration outside of North America.
If you are outside of the US or Canada and looking for information about a Global model, please select a different country or our Global site.
You can choose a different location by clicking the arrows next to the flag at the top of the page.
The endpiece is an integral part of the tool, connected to the circuit board.
In the closed position the DISTO knows to measure from its base.
Flip it open 90 degrees to align the base perfectly on an edge or corner.
Flip it out all the way and you can put this baby in a corner to accurately measure diagonals. Otherwise,
the width of the base would prevent you from getting all the way into the corner, rendering the measurement inaccurate.
Smart Horizontal combines a tilt sensor and software to add several useful features to a DISTO, including Height Tracking, Profile Measurement,
and Indirect Measurement, shown here.
Often, the straight horizontal line we need to measure is obscured. Smart Horizontal allows you to shoot over the obstacle (1).
The software uses the angle (a) to calculate the level distance to the target.
Bluetooth-enabled DISTOs send measurements to other devices as they are taken.
Drag and drop measurements onto layouts or images using the DISTO Sketch App (pictured) then send the specs as a PDF.
DISTOs can see the laser point over 600’ away in direct sunlight and you can’t.
Looking at the DISTO’s display, use the 4xzoom point-finding camera to zoom in close to your target. The crosshairs precisely indicate the position of the measuring point.
This is a must-have feature for anyone working outdoors even 5% of the time.
Measure in a Picture combines a fixed focal length lens, the Smart Horizontal tilt sensor, and the distance to the target to calculate the precise width of an object from a distance from a single measurement.
DISTOs without this capability use the Pythagorean Theorem to determine width from a distance, which requires three separate measurements.
SmartBase - Industry First Technology
Smart Base is a biaxial pivot integrated with the DISTO circuit board.
It enables the DISTO S910 to measure the distances and angles between multiple points from a fixed location.
